Bracelet
Vintage Rivet Bracelet Sizing Instructions
Your watch is fitted with our vintage-style rivet bracelet. To preserve its authentic appearance, the bracelet uses small locking screws that require extra care during sizing.
Please Note:
- •Always reinstall the locking screws after adjusting the bracelet. These screws are essential for securely fastening the bracelet and preventing the links from loosening over time.
- •We strongly recommend applying a small amount of medium-strength threadlocker (Loctite® Blue 242 or equivalent) to the locking screws during reassembly. This helps keep the screws securely in place while still allowing for future adjustments if needed.
- •Due to the bracelet's vintage-inspired construction and the precision required during sizing, we recommend having the bracelet sized by a professional watchmaker or jeweler.
- •If you choose to size the bracelet yourself, work on a clean, well-lit surface and verify that every screw is fully tightened and properly secured before wearing your watch.
Taking a few extra minutes during sizing will help ensure years of reliable wear while preserving the bracelet's classic vintage character.

DON’T Wear Your Watch In The Shower! (Even Your Diver)
So your watch is water resistant or waterproof, and you wonder: can I wear my watch in the shower? There is actually a lot of elements that will prevent you from showering with your favorite piece on.
Don’t wear your watch in the shower. They are not designed to withstand warm water. When your watches cools down after the shower, moist air gets sucked into the case. Doing this repeatedly will deteriorate the movement, even if your watch is water resistant or if it’s a dive watch with a depth rating of 100 m or more.
Why wearing a watch in the shower is a bad idea
Now, you might think: come on, I’m not 100 m deep in water when I shower!
That’s true, but here is the thing: the water freefalls onto your watch. The speed the water gains from falling adds up a lot more pressure than if you were to gently submerge your watch 2 inch (or 5 cm) deep in water.
So the pressure might not be the same as if you were deep diving, but it doesn’t detract from the fact that – yes – a shower puts the water resistance of your watch to the test. Not a crazy amount of pressure, but still.
Hot water can cause gaskets to lose their ability to contract and expand, crowns and pusher to have a harder time screwing in or popping back into place, and the crystal can crack. It’s just the way it is: your watch is a living object, and it ages – just like us.
As a result, over time, your watch may lose some of its water resistance rating. Wearing it in the shower will reduce the amount of time between servicings even more, so that you will have to send it for servicing more often if you want it to perform at factory specifications.

Setting Instructions
NH34 GMT Movement Setting Instructions
Thank you for choosing your True North GMT. Your watch is powered by the reliable Japanese NH34 automatic GMT movement. Please read these instructions before operating your watch.
Before First Use
If your watch has stopped or is being worn for the first time:
- Unscrew the crown (if equipped with a screw-down crown).
- With the crown in the first position (fully pushed in), turn it clockwise 20–30 turns to build an initial power reserve.
- Screw the crown back down firmly before wearing the watch.
Your watch will continue to wind automatically through the natural movement of your wrist.
Crown Functions
Position 0 – Winding
- •Crown pushed in.
- •Turn clockwise to manually wind the movement.
Position 1 – Date & GMT Setting
- •Pull the crown out one click.
- •Turn one direction to adjust the date.
- •Turn the opposite direction to adjust the GMT hand.
Position 2 – Time Setting
- •Pull the crown out to the second click.
- •The seconds hand will stop (hacking feature).
- •Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands.
Setting the Time
- Pull the crown to Position 2.
- Advance the hands until the date changes. This indicates midnight.
- Continue setting the correct time, making sure you distinguish between AM and PM.
- Push the crown back in when finished.

IMPORTANT
Never use the quick-set date or GMT adjustment when the watch displays a time between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM. During these hours the date-change mechanism is engaged, and forcing an adjustment may permanently damage the movement.
For the safest operation:
- First move the hands to approximately 6:30.
- Pull the crown to Position 1.
- Set the correct date.
- Return to Position 2 and reset the correct time.
Setting the GMT Hand
The red GMT hand makes one complete rotation every 24 hours, allowing you to track a second time zone.
- Pull the crown to Position 1.
- Rotate the crown in the GMT direction until the GMT hand points to the desired hour on the 24-hour scale.
- Push the crown back in when complete
Care & Maintenance
- •Avoid magnetic fields and severe impacts.
- •Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water.
- •Have the gaskets checked periodically if the watch is used in water frequently.
- •An automatic movement performs best when worn regularly.
Helpful Tips
- •The NH34 has approximately 41 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
- •If you feel unusual resistance while adjusting the date or GMT hand, stop immediately and verify that the watch is outside the 9 PM–3 AM danger zone.
- •Forcing the crown can permanently damage the movement.
