We were inspired to create the VRT chronograph from our lifelong passion for vintage chronographs. Our goal was to create a timepiece that had the soul and design language of these timeless icons. The VRT is powered by a rugged meca-quartz mechanism, resulting in a watch that combines the accuracy of quartz with the crisp feel and performance of a mechanical chronograph.

Patina
Choose your own patina level. We offer all white lume, warm yellow aged lume to our heavy patina featuring our unique tropical rust patina. In order to create this effect, our artisans developed an oxidized patina method that allowed us to control the aging, resulting in the perfect recreation of a time earned patinated dial.

Vintage inspired domed and round sapphire-coated mineral crystal.

Use only leather straps with curved ends. We have a VRT strap line designed for our VRT chronos.
Vintage Oyster included. We also have a 5 Link Vintage and a Vintage Rivet designed for the VRT.
Water Resistance
Depth 50 meters - 165 feet
One thing that’s important with any watch is that water resistance and heat resistance are really two different things.
We never recommend wearing a watch in warm or hot water — showers, hot tubs, saunas, etc. — regardless of its water-resistance rating. This applies to our watches just as it does to a high-end dive watch from Rolex or any other manufacturer.
The issue is the heat. Watches rely on rubber gaskets and seals around the crown, caseback and crystal to maintain water resistance. Repeated heating and cooling causes those materials to expand and contract, which can accelerate deterioration of the seals and eventually allow moisture into the case. Soap, shampoo and other chemicals can also be hard on those seals.
A watch designed for deep diving may withstand tremendous water pressure, but that doesn't make hot water a good environment for its gaskets. Cold or room-temperature water and hot water put very different stresses on the seals.
For that reason, our recommendation with any watch is simple: swimming in appropriate conditions is one thing, but take the watch off before a hot shower, bath, hot tub or sauna. It’s an easy way to protect the seals and keep the watch water resistant for as long as possible.

Time Setting
- Pull the crown out to the second click.
- Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands.
- Make sure AM/PM is correct (the date should change at midnight).
- Push the crown back in when finished.
Date Setting
- Pull the crown out to the first click.
- Turn the crown clockwise until the correct date appears.
- Push the crown back in.
Important: Do not change the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as the date-change mechanism is engaged during this period and damage may occur.
Using the Chronograph
Start
- •Press the upper pusher (2 o'clock).
Stop
- •Press the upper pusher again.
Reset
- •After stopping the chronograph, press the lower pusher (4 o'clock) to return all chronograph hands to zero.
Understanding the Subdials
- •Center Hand: Chronograph (stopwatch) seconds
- •9 o'clock: Chronograph minutes (up to 60 minutes)
- •6 o'clock: Running seconds (normal timekeeping)
- •3 o'clock: 24-hour indicator linked to the main time
Note: The large center seconds hand is not your normal seconds hand. It only operates when the chronograph is running. The small seconds hand at 6 o'clock continuously indicates the current time.

WARRANTY - RETURN POLICY
ONE YEAR INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY
Your watch is internationally warranted by True North Watch Co. for one year from the date of purchase for any material or workmanship defects.
This warranty does not cover: glass; batteries; internal or external damage resulting from excessive wear, improper use or mishandling; or damage resulting from service provided from an unauthorized service center.
RETURNS
We offer a full refund, excluding shipping, for all unworn watches returned within seven days of delivery.
UNWORN CONDITION ONLY
We understand that you want to try the watch on your wrist, but all returned watches must be in perfect unworn condition (with all the plastic protection adhesives intact and still glued to the watch), and in their original packaging .
We do not accept slightly worn watches for refunds. If the watch is returned in perfect condition, but the strap has been used or marked, we won’t accept the watch, and it will be returned to you.

Before shipping your return, email us at info@truenorthcollections.com to receive the return instructions and authorization code (RMA). This code is necessary to identify the returning parcel in our warehouse. If you return the watch without the RMA code, we’ll not be able to process it, and we will send it back to you.
We do not refund shipping fees.
